Hi everyone,
I’m currently researching the various types of carbon steel and how each is used in different industries. From what I understand, there are low-carbon steels for general construction, medium-carbon steels for machinery parts, and high-carbon steels for tools and cutting equipment.
I’m curious to learn more about their properties, such as strength, hardness, and corrosion resistance. Also, how does alloying with other elements like manganese or chromium affect carbon steel’s performance? If anyone has detailed insights or practical experience working with these different grades, I’d really appreciate your input.
Thanks in advance.
