In case you happen to forget the password for your MacBook login, the first thing you should do is reset the password on Macbook and access macOS Recovery. You can do that by turning on the Mac and immediately pressing Command + R until the Apple logo is displayed. Select Terminal from the Utilities menu bar, then type resetpassword and hit Enter. The Reset Password wizard will appear. After selecting your account, set up a new password and give a password hint. After clicking on Save, reboot your Mac. Use the new password to get access. This way, the password will be changed without the need to delete your files or alter your personal data.
