I'm not just worried about the paint, I'm concerned about longer term effects. I've been reading about protecting your vehicle during desert storms because I know sand can get into places and cause wear over time. My main question is about the air filters. Should I be checking or replacing the engine air filter and cabin filter after a storm like this? Also, what's the safest way to wash the car without scratching the paint with all that gritty dust? I don't want to make things worse by wiping it down incorrectly. Any advice from those who have dealt with this for years would be really appreciated.
